Transient Bigg's and some Unidentified Orca sightings top this report. Although we believe the unidentified Killer Whales may be Bigg's also, we could not confirm in time for this short report. Although they were closer to shore, they were difficult to see in the lumpy seas.
Most Humpback Whales seem to be in other areas with only a couple being spotted across from Campbell River. Again, the weather has not made it easy. The report of a couple of large whales by Mayne Island may also have been Humpbacks, but with Grey and the ocassional Fin Whale appearing in Georgia Strait, without a photo, we could not confirm.
Pacific White Sided Dolphins appear to be spread out in the upper Georgia Strait, with rumours only of them running back inside Sechelt inlet.
