Humpbacks by Campbell River, Pacific White Sided Dolphins in Bute
Inlet, Dall's Porpoise by Rendezvous Islands and Harbour Porpoises
off Savary. Beautiful weather and more to come; all the better to
spot those cetaceans.

9 am Orca between Lund and
Savary – feeding on ?? They had no direction other than doing
large donuts.

10:30 am Around 6 Orca including
a couple of calves and one large male off Savary Island with
their noses pointed towards Powell River.

4 pm Around 6 or so Orca going
between Savary and Lund including 1 young male (sprouter) and
a couple of young ones. They last popped up closer to the Iron Mines
off Lund.

Orca were around Savary earlier and then over towards
Lund by the bay between Lund and the Iron Mines then headed
back towards Savary again. The little harbour seals were
grouped together with heads up looking stressed.

Afternoon: 300 + Pacific White Sided
Dolphins in Bute Inlet – really spread out again. Lots of young
ones.

On morning ferry to Earl's Cove, there
were around 8 Pacific White Sided Dolphins by Nelson Island
cruising close to shore looking like they were feeding on small fish.

the Orca had moved off.
